Series of online workshops on Post-Covid Social Justice Education
The 3CL Foundation, together with the Commonwealth of Learning, is organising a series of three workshops with the title “Justice Education in a Post-Covid-19 World“. The aim of this workshop series is to create a meaningful conversation among international scholars and activists in education with a focus on social justice education and its implications for education post-Covid-19 particularly with reference to the African Continent and the Middle East. The first workshop is on Friday 2nd July 2021.
The speakers to be invited all adhere to a robust understanding of social justice education in line with critical pedagogy, anti-oppressive and post-colonial educational perspectives. They will be invited to reflect on the topic at hand with particular reference to teaching on line which has become the norm in the last two months and most probably will continue to be so for a while.
The co-chairs will be John P. Portelli, from the Department of Social Justice Education, OISE, University of Toronto, and Chair of the 3CL Board, and Alex Grech, Director, 3CL Foundation. The event is organised by the 3CL Foundation and Commonwealth of Learning (COL), Canada.
