Marina Da Bormida
Marina is a lawyer specialised in R&D projects, in particular in legal issues, privacy & data protection, intellectual property and exploitation. She is also an expert in ethical and societal themes related to ICT research and technological developments in the framework of R&D projects. She is serving as an independent Ethical Expert to the European Commission.
Marina’s areas areas of expertise include: Legal and Ethical Issues pertaining to Information Society and new technologies (e.g. privacy, data protection, personality rights, human rights, informed consent, dual use, misuse, mission creep, etc.), Smart Contracts and Blockchain, Big Data, IoT, FoF, Artificial Intelligence, Industry 4.0, Cloud Computing, digital lifestyle, Consortium Agreement & IPR management, technology transfer, e-content and DRM, business networks and Internet governance, juridical and ethical aspects of Future Internet, Open Innovation, Smart Cities, Social Network and Concurrent Enterprising.
Marina is a member of the European Commission’s Blockchain Observatory & Forum. She has many years’ experience working on a wide range of EU projects.
