Ruben Brave

Ruben Brave

Ruben Brave is an internet pioneer and has collaborated on major online initiatives with some of the largest companies in the Netherlands in publishing, sports, telecom and travel. These include @Leisure Group, Dutch Soccer Association, Hachette Filipacchi Media, IDG Communications, KPN, Persgroep and Planet Internet.

With his business incubator, Entelligence, he currently builds social enterprises in collaboration with knowledge institutions such as the Center for JobKnowledge Research (CJKR, an institute of the University of Amsterdam and multidisciplinary think tank plus research incubator focused on facilitating individual, organization and nation level person-education-workplace matching processes).

With CJKR, Entelligence is also developing a transformative coaching framework for entrepreneurial academics, start-up entrepreneurs and millennials based on “heroic intelligence”, related to transversal skills as implied by professor Joseph John Campbell in ‘The Hero’s Journey’ (the common template of a broad category of narratives based on comparative mythology and comparative religion).

Recently in his role as an unremunerated board member of the Bema Foundation (founding organisation of the European Press Prize), Ruben has initiated Make Media Great Again (MMGA). Through MMGA, a blockchain-based annotation platform, critical and knowledgeable readers can provide constructive feedback on the use of sources and other quality aspects of news articles to combat misinformation and create an ecosystem for quality control; NU.nl the largest Dutch online news platform recently signed on as co-development partner and client.
